Justin is awoken by a phone call from a frantic Camille, begging him to come rescue her. She was the girl he’d always been crazy about, but just always out of his reach. Their world has been turned upside down and overrun by Zombies, and she promises him they’d finally be together if he saves her.
Blinded by his feelings and taking this as his chance to be with her, Justin risks everything and rushes off across country against the advice of his sister and his friends. When he arrives however, things don’t go as smoothly as he’d hoped.
He regrets his valiant effort to save her, and makes the decision to return home, with or without her.
Camille agrees, but the journey home doesn’t go smoothly, and when they arrive back, things get much, much worse...
Gallagher also has another giveaway for his scary/horror short story collection Strings exclusively to my blog. Check it outhere.
About the author:
Darren Gallagher was born and currently lives in Co. Donegal, Ireland. Having dropped out of school at fourteen, he decided in 2008 to finally pluck up the courage and follow a dream that had been haunting him since childhood.
Receiving a Diploma in Creative Writing from Kilroy’s College in Dublin was the first step in re-learning the English that he’d forgotten, and that he never knew.
A natural night owl, when everyone else is sleeping, he hears the bumps and the creaks, captures them, and turns them into stories to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.
